There are no virtuoso performances here, just some smooth, solid, steady interpretations of popular tangos ranging from the days of the Guardia Vieja all the way up to Piazzolla.

Alberto Negri-Divorne and his quintet offer a full hour of enjoyment to the tango enthusiast.

I've been playing this in my office for several days now.

Particularly enjoyable are Negri-Divorne's renditions of 9 de Julio, Imperial, Sur, A Media Luz, and Lo Que Vendra.

I had not heard of this quintet before, but like its European styling of tango classics and certainly look forward to future releases.

If you are looking for tango with a little bit different sound, then give this CD a shot. You won't be disappointed
