El dúo con Gardel

"Mauri Rubinstein, el hermano de Luis,
me hizo grabar un dúo con Gardel.
Le había dicho a un amigo que Nelly
cantaba con Gardel
y había apostado tres mil pesos.

Entonces me contó lo que había hecho
y me preguntó si me animaba.

Me llevó el disco a Radio El Mundo, me puse los auriculares y le hice la segunda voz en el tango «Angustias».

Salió redondo. Como si toda la vida hubiera cantado con Gardel."
Según algunos archivos, Gardel ya había grabado ese tema
con una segunda voz hecha por él mismo.
